“EDGAR ALLAN POE:BURIED ALIVE” has received a production grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, and will be broadcast on the PBS series American Masters. Far more than a biography, the 90-minute film employs a variety of tools, including dramatized re-enactments of key moments in Poe’s life and stories, interviews with experts, and readings from Poe’s own works by well-known actors, to create a narrative that is both visually stunning and deeply engaging. We draw on the rich palette of Poe’s evocative imagery and sharply drawn plots to  bring new understanding to his life, his place in American art and history, and the iconic position he holds in popular culture around the world.
