Working Methods Seminars

We are excited to announce the schedule and share details of the new “Working Methods” Saturday Seminar Series.

This series of six Seminars held throughout the year will provide an overview, focusing on each stage of creating film, television, and advertising media. Guiding you through the production process from start to finish – each seminar will cover the challenges and nuances of media production, and turning hard work into creative success.

Each phase of production will be covered by key leaders in the industry with presentations and a panel discussion on essential film and media making topics.

The 2-hour sessions will cover a range of topics from speakers and presentations for the first hour, followed by a panel discussion for the second hour with Q&A forums to open the conversation.

Join us early for Coffee from 9:30 – 10:00 AM.       
Seminars begin at 10:00 AM and will run until Noon  •  High Output Studios (Map & Directions)

CONCEPT & WRITING • Saturday March 24th: 10 am – Noon

Learn the ins-and-outs of how writing and concepts for a film come together from an esteemed panel of professionals. Topics will cover writing for ads, writing your movie script, writing for a television commercial.

A range of topics will be explored including the essential pre-production logistics, ad agency philosophy and preparation, casting and talent, and the final pre-production meeting.

Join members of Boston’s production community for an intense look at The Art of the Shoot. The discussion will illuminate feature, commercial, industrial and documentary considerations, with topics including: Producing, Directing, the DP’s role, Choosing Technology, Camera Prep, Storyboards, On location responsibilities, Rates, Union and Non-Union issues, and more!
