About Under Water’s Mercy

A young Native American woman returns to her family in Southeast Louisiana to find a man-made environmental crisis threatening their way of life. Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil leak are just the latest rounds in this century-old cycle that hinders Monique’s quest to find a place in her community. Monique must overcome the loss of her house, her father, and her partner- and redefine the meaning of home.
